Francisco


Born in the Caribbean

Born and Raised in Guadeloupe, an archipelago in the Antilles (small carribean islands), his youth was synonym with Zouk, the dance and the music. becaue zouk is from Guadeloupe and Martinique. Francisco began his tango journey in 1999 in Grenoble, France, under the guidance of G-H Kuper and his partner, through the vibrant Tango Soleado community. What started as a hobby, quickly became an unrecognized passion and then a call for teaching — by 2001 he was already teaching beginners and assisting Cécile Boucris, Grenoble's best tango teacher at that time.

Trained by the Masters

Over more than two decades, Francisco has studied with countless maestros from Argentina and Europe. Two names stand out as particularly formative:

Sebastián Arce — whose artistry shaped Francisco's approach to creativity and deep connection between partners.

Gustavo Naveira — whose systematic methodology deeply influenced how Francisco structures his curriculum.

A Scientific Approach to Tango

What sets Francisco apart is his background in computer science. He approaches tango the way a programmer approaches a complex system — breaking movements into logical structures, identifying patterns, and building from first principles. This makes his teaching remarkably clear and accessible, regardless of a student's background or learning style.

A Global Teaching Career

Born in the Caribbean, trained in France, Francisco has spent over two decades bringing Argentine Tango to the world.

He spent 5 years based in Seoul (2012–2017) before embarking on an extensive Asian teaching journey spanning: Thailand, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Brunei, and Cambodia.
